Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugars until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  5. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake until golden brown. ( 12 min )
  8. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
